News : The Aviva World's Longest Rally
General Information & Guidelines:
Do you have the Speed, Agility & Precision to help AVIVA & Singapore set a new Badminton
World Record?
The Aviva World Record Rally record attempt will deliver a memorable & engaging brand
experience for Singapore badminton enthusiasts leading into the Aviva Open Singapore.
Qualification Events
Venues 4 x SSC Community Courts
(Bedok, Bishan, Hougang and Jurong East)
Date 16 May 2009
Day Saturday
Time 1:00pm to 4:30pm
Badminton enthusiasts will be invited to any one of the 4 SSC Venues to take part in the qualifying challenges designed by Ronald Susilo. The 3 challenges are a test of your Speed, Agility and Precision.
Upon successful completion of the tests, participant will be eligible to enter the Aviva World
Longest Rally, an attempt to break the Guinness World Record with 1000 other players.
Qualified participants will receive a letter of notification to inform them of their time slot on the day of Rally. They will also receive an SMS reminder.

Date 23 May 2009
Day Saturday
Time 10:00am to 6:00pm
Timeslots 10:00am/12:00pm/2:00pm/4:00pm
We will be attempting to set a new record for the World’s Largest Badminton Rally: Most
Number of Participants. The qualified players will be invited to come down at one of the 4
allocated timeslots.
A Guinness World Record Adjudicator will be present during the event to verify the results for
inclusion into the Guinness Book of World Records.

Announcement of unavailability of courts at GYSS
Dear Members,
Referring to my earlier announcement of the unavailability of courts @ GYSS on 5th and 12th May 09 due their semesterial examination. The school has informed us they have revised their schedule and thus next Tuesday, 28th April 09 session is also affected and is cancelled. Please inform other members who may not know of this latest arrangement.
You are welcome to join the session @ HPPS on Thursday which has not been affected so far by the coming school's semesterial examination.
